This product is a component of the HAAS Stainless Axis Cable Rail System.
The revolutionary HAAS Axis system is even easier to install, requiring only one screw to secure the assembly to a wooden post. The 1/8" Cable Rail Fitting Assembly for wood posts is an end fitting assembly for face-mount applications using 1/8" 1x19 Steel Cable. This cable railing system is great for installing deck railing and porch railing, replacing stair balusters, and making decorative handrails using wood posts.
This assembly includes the following cable railing hardware:
- Trim Head Screw for attaching the assembly to the post
- HAAS Axis Pivot Receiver which allows the cable run to pivot up to 90 degrees for applications like stair runs or ramps
- HAAS Axis Pivot Eye for attaching the Turnbuckle Eye Stud into the Receiver
- Pivot Receiver Pin which keeps the Pivot Eye in the Receiver
- HAAS Axis Pivot Eye for attaching the Turnbuckle Eye Stud into the Receiver
- HAAS Axis Turnbuckle Eye Stud for attaching the Turnbuckle Body into the Pivot Eye
- HAAS Stainless Cable Turnbuckle Body for tightening the cable run and attaching the cable to the Eye Stud
- HAAS Stainless Turnbuckle Swage Stud which holds the cable in the Turnbuckle Body
When installed, the only visible parts of this assembly are the Pivot Receiver, the Turnbuckle Body, and the small Turnbuckle Swage Stud, providing a clean, modern steel look. The Turnbuckle Assembly is intended to be used along with a 1/8" Fitting Assembly for terminating the other end of the cable run.
This fitting must be swaged with the Crenshaw Swager. You’ll also need a necked-down T20 Torx star driver bit for the Trim Head Screw, a small Allen wrench or hex key for tightening the turnbuckle body, a small flat-head screwdriver or washer for tightening the Pivot Receiver Pin, and a drill with a 1/8" bit for drilling a pilot hole. The entire assembly installs in minutes.
